Indian Kabaddi organisation AKFI has announced a 24-man shortlist for the upcoming Asian Games which starts later this year.
The Indian Kabaddi men's team will be hoping to showcase their talent in the upcoming Asian Games, and a preparatory camp is set to commence on Thursday (July 6) in Bengaluru.

Ahead of the Asian Games, which is set to start from September 23 in Hangzhou (China), the Indian team has selected 24 main roster players, 3 coaches and 2 standby for the tournament.
Top raiders such as Pardeep Narwal, Arjun Deshwal, Pawan Sehrawat are in the team, whereas Naveen Kumar has also been selected after a stellar Asian Championship campaign recently.
Veteran all-rounder Deepak Hooda is among the players, and so are Surjeet Singh and Vishal Bhardwaj. Another veteran defender Surender Nada is one of the two standbys.
Bhaskaran Edachery, Ashan Kumar and Sanjeev Kumar Baliyan have been selected as the three coaches for the Indian Kabaddi team for the preparation camp, which will continue till July 27 in Bengaluru.
India have racked up Seven Gold medals in Asian Games over the years and were unbeaten till the 2018 Asian Games, with a 100 per cent winning record.
In the 2018 Asian Games, the men's Kabaddi team could only manage a Bronze medal and lost their first-ever game in the competition. Iran won the Gold in that edition, whereas South Korea notched the Silver medal.
