In the realms of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), there have been many stars from Iran who have dazzled on the mat over the years. But the latest star from the Persian country, Mohammedreza Shadloui, looks set to eclipse all with his might.
Haryana Steelers' star all-rounder Mohammedreza Shadloui has continued to display his versatility and dominance in PKL 2024. His latest achievement is the milestone of 300 tackle points in just 76 matches.

In the previous match against U Mumba, Shadloui showcased his immense class again. Along with his defensive brilliance with 6 tackle points, the Iranian bagged 4 raid points - honing the role of an all-rounder in a sublime fashion.
"Everyone knows I'm skilled at raiding too, making me a true all-rounder," Shadloui said after his record-breaking performance.
"There are many who claim to be all-rounders in the PKL, but I have proven that I can tackle and raid effectively. I adapt based on what the team needs - whether it's raiding or tackling, and I deliver accordingly," the Iranian added.
The Iranian's achievement becomes even more remarkable when compared to his Iranian compatriot Fazel Atrachali's record, and the youngster was cutthroat with his comments when asked about comparisons with Fazel.
"Fazel has played ten seasons in PKL to reach 500 points. I've achieved 300 points in just four seasons. The numbers speak for themselves," he added.
Currently playing for Haryana Steelers after winning the PKL title with Puneri Paltan in season 10, Shadloui credits his growth to the Indian kabaddi ecosystem.
"I've learned from all the Indian players - I can't single out just one person. Everyone has contributed to my improvement, and I continue to learn with each season," he acknowledged.
The Iranian maverick is enjoying the environment at Haryana Steelers. The youth's exuberance at the Steelers are one of the reasons why the team is performing well, as Shadloui believes the young unit has more hunger for success. But as the Steelers embark on the season, Shadloui has sole focus on the championship.
"This season's trophy is particularly important to me because I want to show that every team I join becomes a champion," he concluded.
