Pro Kabaddi 2024 Auction concluded on Friday (August 16) in Mumbai as the 12 teams gave final shape to their squads for the upcoming PKL Season 11, which is scheduled to be held in the caravan format from October.
While on Day 1, the teams went out all guns blazing, the second day looked a bit different as the franchises balanced their budgets while ensuring they secured the right mix of players in their teams.

Raider Ajith V Kumar emerged as the costlier player sold on Day 2 of PKL 2024 auction. Puneri Paltan bought him for a whopping Rs 66 lakh.
Another raider Jai Bhagwan was sold for Rs 63 lakh to Bengaluru Bulls. Patna Pirates also made two expensive buys in defenders Gurdeep (Rs 59 lakh), and Deepak Rajender Singh (Rs 50 lakh). Uncapped Arun Rathi was sold to Bengal Warriorz for Rs 41 lakh.

Back-to-back two defenders bought by Bengal Warriorz. Sambhaji Wabale bought at a price of Rs 12.90, while Hem Raj at his base price of Rs 9 lakh.

While many teams had made retentions heading into the auction, there were still 212 slots left to fill in the two-day auction process in Mumbai.
The domestic and overseas players were divided into four categories - A, B, C and D and the players were further sub-divided as 'All-Rounders', 'Defenders' and 'Raiders' within each category.
The base prices for each of the categories are Category A - INR 30 Lakh, Category B - INR 20 Lakh, Category C - INR 13 Lakh, Category D - INR 9 Lakh. Notably, two players were sold for more than Rs 2 crore, and overall eight players became crorepatis.
