The first day of the PKL 2024 auction was an eventful one as the Category A and Category B players found their teams ahead of the Season 11.
The Pro Kabaddi League has grown in stature over the years and it was in full flow again on Thursday (August 15), as the first half of the auction brought about some fantastic signings along with changing dynamics.

A total of 24 players were up for the auction on Day 1 and 20 of them found teams. Four players - Visvanth V, Rohit Gulia, Vishal Bhardwaj and Vaibhav Garje remained unsold in the auction.
A total of eight players were sold for more than Rs 1 crore on the first day of the auction. Sachin Tanwar, who played for Patna Pirates last year, was the most expensive player as he fetched Rs 2 crore 15 lakh from Tamil Thalaivas. Mohammadreza Shadloui was the most expensive foreign player as he was sold to Haryana Steelers for Rs 2.07 crore.
Guman Singh was the third-highest player in the auction as the raider was sold to Gujarat Giants for Rs 1.97 crore. Apart from him Maninder Singh was signed back by Bengal Warriorz as they used the FBM card for the veteran raider for Rs 1.15 crore.
Bengaluru Bulls roped in two raiders in Ajinkya Pawar and Pardeep Narwal - and surprisingly it is the former who breached the 1 crore mark. Sunil Kumar is the solitary defender who crossed the eight-figure mark as U Mumba signed him for Rs 1.015 crore.
