The Haryana Steelers and Gujarat Giants showcased contrasting strengths - dominance and resilience to secure vital victories in their respective PKL 11 encounters on Saturday (November 23).
The Haryana Steelers delivered a commanding performance, defeating Jaipur Pink Panthers 43-30 in Match 72 of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 11 at the Noida Indoor Stadium.

Shivam Patare and Vinay shone with Super 10s, while a cohesive defensive effort led by Naveen and Mohammadreza Shadloui kept the Panthers at bay. Despite Arjun Deshwal's spirited display, Jaipur fell short in a one-sided contest.
The first half saw the Haryana Steelers dominate early proceedings, with Vinay setting the tone through a two-point raid. Arjun Deshwal, Jaipur's captain, carried the raiding responsibilities but found little support from his teammates. The turning point came when the Steelers inflicted an ALL OUT midway through the first half, extending their lead to seven points.
Defensively, Shadloui's precise ankle holds and Naveen's critical tackles ensured the Panthers struggled to gain momentum. By halftime, the Steelers held a commanding 22-12 lead.
In the second half, Haryana's dominance continued as Shivam Patare and Vinay kept the scoreboard ticking with their consistent raids. The Steelers inflicted a second ALL OUT, stretching their lead to 15 points. Although Lucky Sharma provided brief hope for Jaipur with a Super Tackle, it wasn't enough to turn the tide.
Shivam Patare and Vinay both completed their Super 10s, while the Steelers' defence added eight tackle points. Haryana's comprehensive performance cemented their position as PKL 11's most formidable team.
The Gujarat Giants clinched their third win of the season with a nail-biting 31-28 victory over the Telugu Titans. Parteek Dahiya's Super 10 was instrumental in overcoming Vijay Malik's stellar 15-point performance in an evenly contested battle.
Both teams began cautiously, trading points in the opening minutes. Parteek Dahiya got the first Do-or-Die Raid, helping Gujarat gain an early edge. Guman Singh added to the Giants' momentum with a two-point raid. However, Telugu Titans' Vijay Malik responded brilliantly, completing a Super 10 in the first half and helping his side take a 17-15 lead at the break, thanks to Ashish Narwal's crucial Super Raid.
In the second half, Gujarat regained the upper hand through an ALL OUT, courtesy of Parteek Dahiya's explosive raids. The Titans stayed in the game with timely tackles, but their defensive unit struggled overall. With under two minutes to go, the Giants inflicted a Super Tackle on Vijay Malik to regain a two-point lead.
Himanshu Singh delivered the decisive blow with another Super Tackle on Parteek Dahiya in the dying moments, sealing a thrilling win for the Giants.
