PKL 2024: Meet Coaches That are Leading All 12 Teams in Pro Kabaddi League Season 11

By MyKhel Staff

The Pro Kabaddi League Season 11 is gearing up for another exciting season, kicking off in Hyderabad on October 18. A key component to every team's success is their head coach, who works diligently behind the scenes to prepare players for the fierce competition.

As PKL 2024 approaches, let's take a closer look at the head coaches leading the 12 teams into battle. Bengal Warriors have appointed Prashant Surve as their new head coach for Season 11. Surve, who was previously the team's assistant coach since Season 9, steps up to the main role after K Baskaran's departure.

Baskaran left following the team's failure to qualify for the playoffs last season. Praveen Yadav, known for training young kabaddi players in Gurugram, will serve as Surve's assistant coach. For the Bengaluru Bulls, Randhir Singh Sehrawat continues in his role as head coach.

Randhir, a veteran in the PKL, has been with the Bulls since the league's inception and led them to their first title in Season 6. The Arjuna Award winner brings a wealth of experience from his time with the Indian Railways' kabaddi teams. After a narrow miss in playoff qualification last year, Randhir will be eager to guide the Bulls to success this season.

Dabang Delhi K.C. has promoted Joginder Narwal to head coach for the upcoming season. Joginder, who was part of Delhi's coaching staff under Rambir Singh Khokar, now takes charge. As a former player, Joginder captained Delhi to their maiden title in 2018. He now aims to lead the team back to the top after narrowly missing out on a semi-final spot last season.

Ram Mehar Singh, an experienced coach in Indian kabaddi, remains head coach of Gujarat Giants. Singh, who led Patna Pirates to victory in Season 5, joined Gujarat in Season 9 and guided them to the playoffs last year. He will look to build on that success in Season 11.

Former player-turned-coach Manpreet Singh continues as head coach of Haryana Steelers. Manpreet, a former PKL champion with Patna Pirates, has been with the Steelers since Season 9 and led them to a runners-up finish last season.

The reigning PKL Season 9 champions, Jaipur Pink Panthers, have retained Sanjeev Baliyan as their head coach. Baliyan, a successful coach with multiple titles under his belt, aims to add another championship to his resume.

Narender Redhu will lead Patna Pirates as head coach for the second consecutive season. After helping Patna reach the playoffs last year, Redhu will be aiming for a title challenge this time around.

Puneri Paltan continues with BC Ramesh as head coach after a historic title win in Season 10. Ramesh, a highly decorated coach in the PKL, previously led Bengal Warriors to their Season 7 triumph.

For the first time, Tamil Thalaivas have opted for a dual-coach system with Udaya Kumar as chief coach and Dharmaraj Cheralathan as strategy coach. Both bring extensive experience and strategic expertise to the team.

Krishan Kumar Hooda, a Dronacharya Award winner, has been named head coach of Telugu Titans. Known for his previous success with Dabang Delhi, Hooda will be hoping to improve the Titans' fortunes after three difficult seasons.

U Mumba will once again be led by Gholamreza Mazandarani, an Iranian coach who guided the team to the playoffs in Season 6. UP Yoddhas will be coached by Jasveer Singh, who aims to improve on last season's disappointing finish.
