PKL 2024 Auction: Sachin Tanwar reveals why he took part in Auction, sends heartfelt message to Tamil Thalaivas Fans

Sachin Tanwar revealed the true reason behind his participation in the auction after becoming the most expensive player on Day 1 of the PKL 2024 auction on Thursday (August 15).

The player also sent a heartfelt message to the fans after being bought by the Tamil Thalaivas.

"I would like to tell those fans to keep supporting us. And we will never let you down. We will give our best. And I would like to say that with your blessings and love, our team should move forward. I would like to tell you to support us more. We will never let you down," Tanwar said.

The player was sold to the Thalaivas for a whopping Rs 2.15 crore, which makes him the most expensive player of this auction, and the 4th most expensive buy in PKL history. And the player was ecstatic after the massive reward in the auction.

"I feel very good that I have become the most expensive player of this season. I feel very proud. I didn't know that I would become such an expensive player. And I am very happy," he added.

Sachin Tanwar also revealed that his mother made him come to the auction. The raider played superbly for Patna Pirates last season and got the reward for that.

"Yes, this[coming to auction] was my mother's decision. My mother said that I should go to the auction. It's been three years since the Patna Pirates. So, I should go to the auction. Let's see what value I will have, So, my mother said that. That's why I came to the auction," Tanwar added.

The player also revealed that he would be buying his mother anything she wanted with the money. The 25-year-old managed 184 points for the Pirates last season and will be hoping to replicate his good deeds for the Thalaivas.
