The platform for the Pro Kabaddi League Season 11 - PKL 2024 was set at the PKL Player Auction in Mumbai earlier this week. Now, the wait begins for the start of the new season and the fixtures list.
All 12 teams finalized their squads for the upcoming season with the retentions followed by the player auction on August 15 and 16, when a total of INR 33.7 Crores was splashed on 118 players, including top talents from the country as well as overseas.

Top raiders Pawan Sehrawat and Maninder Singh were retained by their former sides via the Final Bid Match (FBM) cards, while Pardeen Narwal, Guman Singh, Siddharth Desai and Sachin Tawar found new homes for the new season.
As fans can't wait to see their stars in action, here is a look at when the PKL Season 11 could start and where the season will be played alongside other details:
Like the previous editions, 12 teams will battle for the title, starting with the league phase followed by the playoffs. The 12 teams competing in PKL Season 11 are as follows:
PKL 2024 start date is yet to be officially announced. But in all likelihood, the PKL Season 11 may start in the first week of October and conclude with the final at the end of the year in December. The PKL 2024 schedule will soon be revealed by the organizers.
PKL Seasons 8 and 10 were played between the December - February window after the auction was held in October last year. Since the auction has finished early this year, the season is also likely to start early like in the 2022 edition or season 9.
PKL returned to the traditional caravan format last season after the previous two editions were held in a single venue or limited number of venues due to COVID pandemic. Each team got a chance to host matches at their home venues.
Not all home games were staged at their respective home venues though, but every team staged games at their home during the course of last season. Here is a look at the venues from PKL Season 10:
However, as per the sources who contacted a myKhel staff, the start date of the campaign may be different, and the number of venues also may be less for the upcoming PKL Season 11. The official schedule will released in the lead up to the tournament.
