U Mumba clinched a hard-fought 39-37 win over Jaipur Pink Panthers in PKL Season 11 at the GMCB Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on October 31, 2024. After the thrilling victory, head coach Gholamreza Mazandarani reflected on the team's well-planned strategy and balanced play during the post-match press conference.
"I maintain a positive attitude regardless of outcomes, not just when winning. For this match, we had a specific strategy to maximize our margin. While our defense performed well, we made some minor errors that can be corrected. Overall, I'm pleased with the talent displayed," said Mazandarani, commending his players' efforts while also recognizing room for improvement.

Mazandarani's faith in his younger players was evident, especially as Ajit Chouhan led with a remarkable 14 points. "We ensure every player gets opportunities during practice. We have some very young players, and when they perform well, they earn more chances to play," he said.
This approach has allowed young players to showcase their skills, which Mazandarani views as essential for building team strength. Captain Sunil Kumar highlighted the solid defensive start that contributed to the victory. "We had a great start with defense - Rinku secured three tackle points at the beginning. Sombir and Parvesh didn't make mistakes," he noted.
He also added that Rohit Raghav's Super Raid was key to the win. The match also saw solid performances from Rinku and Amirmohammad Zafardanesh, each scoring 4 points, while Jaipur's Neeraj Narwal led his team with 12 points.
Looking forward to the upcoming 'Maha Maharashtra' derby against Puneri Paltan, Mazandarani emphasized his consistent approach to all matches: "We treat all matches with equal importance - there are no easy games. While Puneri has a strong, young team with a good track record over the past couple of seasons, we're also a capable team and will compete hard."
