The first day of the PKL 2025 auction saw some enthralling action on the bidding table as the teams splashed their money ahead of the new season.
Gujarat Giants made an emphatic statement on Day 1 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 Auction in Mumbai by snapping up star all-rounder Mohammadreza Shadloui.

The Iranian stalwart, who was adjudged the Most Valuable Player in Season 11, became the first player to be sold at the auction. Gujarat Giants outbid fierce competition from Bengaluru Bulls and Patna Pirates to secure his services for a staggering ₹2.23 crore under Category A.
Bengal Warriorz also signed Devank Dalal for a massive Rs 2.205 crore, thus making him the most expensive Indian player in the auction so far. Apart from that, Ashu Malik was signed by Dabang Delhi for Rs 1.90 crore, who exercised their FBM card for two seasons.
After Day 1, two players remain unsold for now. Sahil Gulia went unsold while the best raider of PKL history, Pardeep Narwal, also had no team on the first day.
