PKL Auction 2024: Pawan Sehrawat to Mohammareza Shadloui - Top 10 Most Expensive Players in Pro Kabbadi History

Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) auction has seen several teams break the banks for players over the years with Pawan Sehrawat breaking the record twice in two editions for most expensive buy in the PKL Player Auction.

High-Flier Pawan Sehrawat first became the most expensive player in the Pro Kabaddi history when the star raider was roped in by Tamil Thalaivas for Rs 2.26 Crore, becoming the first player to breach the Rs 2 Crore-mark.

PKL Most Expensive Players

A year later, the Indian raider broke the record again when Telugu Titans splashed a whopping Rs 2.605 crore for his services in season 10 auction, which also saw two other players fetch upwards of Rs 2 Crore during the bidding process.

Iranian all-rounder Mohammadreza Chiyaneh and Indian raider Maninder Singh were the other two players who were bought by Puneri Paltan and Bengal Warriors respectively at the PKL Season 10 player auction.

The PKL auction over the years have seen several players become crorepatis. Iran legend Fazel Atrachali has attracted bids whenever he has entered the auction and the same can be said of Indian veteran Pardeep Narwal.

Season 6 was the first time a player breached the Rs 1 Crore barrier as three players - Monu Goyat, Rahul Chaudhari and Deepak Hooda fetched big money during the auction in 2018.

Ahead of season 7, Nitin Tomar and Siddharth Desai also joined the crore club when the duo were bought by Puneri Paltan and Telugu Titans respectively. Here is a look at the top 10 most expensive buy in PKL auction history:
