The platform for Pro Kabaddi League season 11 - PKL 2024 will be set at the two-day auction, which is scheduled to take place in Mumbai on Thursday (August 15) and Friday (August 16).

Over 500 players, including the star raiders Pawan Sehrawat, Pardeep Narwal and Maninder Singh, as well as the 24 players from the two finalists of the Khelo India University Games 2024, will go under the hammer during the bidding process.

Having made retentions before the auction, all 12 teams will look to add to their squads with top defenders like Fazel Atrachali, Mohammadreza Chiyaneh and Sunil among the players up for grabs. Several other promising talents as well as star names will be in auction pool.

A total of 212 slots can be filled during the auction as all the teams bar Puneri Paltans and Tamil Thalaivas need to fill up at least 9 more slots to complete the minimum requirement for a squad of 18 players.

Among the 88 retained players, Puneri Paltan has retained 12 players, while Tamil Thalaivas have made 11 retentions. Haryana Steelers and Bengaluru Bulls also have made at least 8 retentions going into the auction.

With many slots left to be filled, expect intense bidding for the top talents of the country as the likes of Ajinkya Pawar, Sachin and Bharat Hooda also enter the auction and could be among the most expensive buys during the auction, possibly triggering bidding wars.
