Kolkata, Feb 13: Patna Pirates staged a remarkable comeback to secure a thrilling victory over Telugu Titans, becoming the fifth team to qualify for the playoffs in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10.
The match, held at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata on Tuesday (February 13), saw Patna Pirates triumph with a scoreline of 38-36. Manjeet emerged as the star performer for Patna Pirates, accumulating 8 points, while Telugu Titans' captain Pawan Sehrawat's outstanding 16-point display went unrewarded.

Despite Patna Pirates entering the game on the back of a seven-game unbeaten streak, they faced a formidable challenge from a resurgent Telugu Titans. Pawan initiated the onslaught with two consecutive multi-point raids, leading to an early ALL-OUT inflicted by Telugu Titans within four minutes.
With Telugu Titans securing a surprising 10-3 lead, Patna Pirates struggled defensively, allowing Pawan to dominate and achieve his Super 10 by the 15th minute, leaving the score at 20-12 in favour of Telugu Titans.
However, Patna Pirates rallied in the final minutes of the first half, with Sandeep Kumar making crucial raids and Krishan Dhull executing a strong tackle on Pawan. This resulted in Telugu Titans being reduced to just two players, allowing Patna Pirates' captain Sachin to secure an ALL OUT, narrowing the deficit to only two points at 22-20.
Patna Pirates seized their first lead of the game in the 23rd minute, with Sachin further diminishing the opposition's defence. However, a brilliant SUPER RAID by Omkar Patil prevented the Telugu Titans from conceding another ALL-OUT. Despite Patna Pirates' efforts, Telugu Titans regained the lead with 10 minutes remaining.
In the closing stages of the match, Patna Pirates brought on Manjeet, whose SUPER TACKLE and effective raids turned the tide in their favour. This led to Patna Pirates securing another crucial ALL OUT in the 36th minute, establishing a five-point lead at 36-31 and ultimately extending their unbeaten run to eight games. Furthermore, this victory secured their spot in the playoffs for the seventh time.
