Noida, Jan 1: On the first day of the new year 2024, Puneri Paltan showcased a kabaddi masterclass on Monday (January 1), securing an impressive victory over the bottom-placed Telugu Titans with a staggering 36-point margin in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 match held at the Noida Indoor Stadium.
The standout performer in Puneri Paltan's commanding 54-18 triumph over Titans was raider Mohit Goyat, with Abinesh Nadarajan and Gaurav Khatri earning High 5s.

Despite the return of captain Pawan Sehrawat to the Telugu Titans, he faced an immediate setback, getting tackled within the first 8 seconds of the game. Puneri Paltan relied on their defensive prowess, with Abinesh and Iran's Mohammadreza Shadloui effectively thwarting the opposition. Although Telugu Titans managed to stay within reach, their raiders struggled, resulting in a 6-7 deficit midway through the opening half.
A turning point came with a sequence of three raids, beginning with a SUPER RAID by Mohit that sent Pawan, Hamid Nader, and Nitin to the bench. Shadloui followed it up with a successful ankle hold against Robin Chaudhary, and Aslam Inamdar secured the third raid as Prafull Zaware succumbed, leading to Puneri Paltan inflicting the first ALL OUT and extending their lead to 16-9.
In the last 5 minutes of the first half, Pawan's team managed only one point, and Puneri Paltan concluded the half with a substantial lead of 23-10. The troubles persisted for Telugu Titans, facing another ALL OUT within the first minute of the second half, widening the gap between the teams.
Puneri Paltan dominated the game as Abinesh delivered effective tackles, while Aslam and Mohit posed constant challenges to the Telugu Titans' defense. Pawan struggled throughout the match, and Telugu Titans suffered yet another ALL OUT after Shadlou executed a powerful dash to deny Pawan. With 10 minutes remaining, Puneri Paltan led by a massive 28 points at 39-11.
Displaying a kabaddi masterclass, Puneri Paltan inflicted a fourth ALL OUT five minutes later. Mohit contributed points in both raiding and defending, resulting in a scoreline of 48-13, with Puneri Paltan enjoying a commanding 35-point lead. In the closing stages, Puneri Paltan provided an opportunity for their bench players, and Aditya Shinde made a notable contribution as his team sealed a resounding victory.
