Noida, Jan 1: Patna Pirates extended their winning streak in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 by defeating the home team, UP Yoddhas, with a margin of 48-41 at the Noida Indoor Stadium on Monday (January 1).
Despite a commendable effort from UP Yoddhas skipper Pardeep Narwal, who secured a season-best 21 points, Patna Pirates emerged victorious, largely due to the outstanding performance of raider Sachin and skipper Neeraj Kumar's noteworthy HIGH 5.

The early minutes of the game saw the Patna Pirates asserting dominance, executing a crucial ALL OUT against UP Yoddhas within the first 10 minutes, granting them an eight-point lead.
Despite Pardeep Narwal's positive start with a couple of successful raids, Sachin emerged as the primary point earner for the Patna side, accumulating eight raid points in the first half. The UP Yoddhas' defenders, however, staged a comeback with a well-executed SUPER TACKLE by substitute Shivam Chaudhary, temporarily halting Sachin's momentum.
Despite the Yoddhas' defensive efforts, the Patna Pirates comfortably secured a 12-point lead at halftime after executing a late ALL OUT, marking their second of the match.
The second half commenced with a remarkable display from Pardeep Narwal, showcasing his prowess as one of the league's top raiders. His SUPER RAID, eliminating three opposing defenders, propelled him to a SUPER 10 in a single swift move.
However, the Pirates faced some challenges in the initial minutes of the second half, with UP Yoddhas' Neeraj Kumar securing a SUPER TACKLE against Pardeep.
As the game progressed, the Patna Pirates regained their footing, with Neeraj Kumar securing another SUPER TACKLE against Pardeep, and Manjeet contributing with a DO-OR-DIE raid that sent Nitesh Kumar, Vijay Malik, and Sumit off the mat. Manjeet's subsequent successful raid led to the Yoddhas experiencing their third ALL OUT, solidifying the Pirates' unassailable lead.
Despite UP Yoddhas managing to get the Patna Pirates ALL OUT in the final two minutes, it had minimal impact on the outcome, with the Patna-based team ultimately securing a seven-point victory in a fiercely contested match.
