U Mumba put up a clinical performance to register their fifth victory on the trot in the PKL 2023 match against Bengaluru Bulls on Friday.
Defender Bittu, who made his PKL debut in the match against Bengaluru Bulls, was the star on the night with 6 tackle points. It was a fantastic performance from Bittu, who had 66.7% tackle accuracy.

And U Mumba head coach Gholamreza Mazandarani was all praises for the right cover after such a fantastic display on his debut.
"Bittu is a skillful player and he needed a chance to play. He has grabbed his opportunity with both hands. I had said before the season that we have some surprises in store for the U Mumba fans. We have some really good talents on our bench. I hope they go on to become stars in the PKL," Mazandarani said on Bittu after the match.
Mazandarani further added, "If we have a 14-15 point lead in the match then we will try new players for 2-3 minutes like we did against Bengaluru Bulls. The new players will take some time to adjust to our plans."
U Mumba have elevated themselves to the 5th spot with five wins in a row. Despite their upsurge, captain Surinder Singh's struggle continues as he only managed one tackle point in the match.
Surinder has been off coloured this season and has managed only 5 tackle points in the last three matches. But the U Mumba coach had only good things to say about his captain.
"He's a good captain and he understands the match very well. He knows exactly what's required to be done in every kind of match situation. A good leader on the mat makes the coach's job very easy. He has a good camaraderie with all the members of the U Mumba team as well," the Iranian coach added.
The U Mumba captain Surinder Singh also spoke about the team's overall performance against the Bulls and expressed his happiness after starting the home leg with a victory.
U Mumba will be eyeing six wins in a row as they take on defending champions Jaipur Pink Panthers on Saturday.
