The Bengal Warriorz have been a part of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) since its inception and have had a rollercoaster of a journey. The Kolkata-based team took some time to find its rhythm in the league, with modest performances in the first two seasons.
However, they turned things around in season three by qualifying for the semifinals and cementing their status as top contenders. The Warriors achieved their best moment in PKL 7, winning their first-ever title under coach BC Ramesh.

While their form has fluctuated in the last few seasons, they have had some of the best players in the league represent them. Let's take a look at Bengal Warriorz' all-time best playing seven, featuring a mix of legendary raiders and defenders who have made an indelible mark on the franchise.
Nitin Madane was Bengal's top raider during their debut season in PKL. In the first edition, he notched up 101 raid points in 12 matches, showcasing his raiding prowess. Although Bengal struggled to find a consistent raider after him for a while, Nitin set the foundation.
He returned for the fourth season and added another 51 points to his tally. Despite not leading them to victory, his contribution in laying the groundwork for Bengal's future success cannot be overlooked.
Jang-Kun Lee from South Korea became a pivotal part of the Bengal Warriorz' raiding unit. Across six seasons (1-6), Lee amassed an impressive 415 points, becoming one of the best overseas players in PKL history outside of Iran.
Known for his ability to pull off multi-point raids, he consistently helped Bengal revive their lead raiders and stave off all-outs. Lee's steady performances made him a fan favorite and an integral player during his time at the franchise.
When it comes to Bengal Warriorz' most successful raider, no one comes close to Maninder Singh. Joining the team in season 5, Maninder quickly became the heart and soul of their raiding department. In the six seasons with Bengal, he amassed a staggering 1,304 raid points, making him one of the top raiders in PKL history.
Maninder's leadership and match-winning raids played a crucial role in Bengal Warriorz' championship triumph in season 7. Interestingly, before joining Bengal, Maninder was also instrumental in Jaipur Pink Panthers' title-winning campaign in season 1.
Mohammad Nabibakhsh made an explosive entry into PKL in season 7, helping Bengal Warriorz win their maiden title. His all-round abilities were on full display as he scored 92 raid points and added 30 tackle points.
Nabibakhsh followed that up with another strong performance in season 8, contributing 108 points. His versatility, coupled with his ability to deliver in key moments, has made him one of the best overseas all-rounders in PKL history.
Ran Singh brought a unique combination of defensive stability and offensive prowess to the Bengal Warriorz. During his two-season stint (seasons 5 and 6), he scored 82 tackle points and 43 raid points.
Although primarily a defender who excelled at the left corner, Ran's versatility allowed him to fill various roles in defense. His ability to contribute in both attack and defense makes him a crucial member of this all-time playing seven.
Surjeet Singh is one of India's premier right-cover defenders, and he showcased his exceptional skills during his time with Bengal Warriorz in seasons 5 and 6. Surjeet's best performance came in season 5, where he finished as the second-highest scoring defender with 76 tackle points in 23 matches.
Although his form dipped slightly in season 6, he still managed a respectable 54 tackle points. Surjeet's leadership and defensive prowess made him an essential part of Bengal's lineup during those seasons.
Baldev Singh was a cornerstone of Bengal Warriorz' defense during their title-winning campaign in season 7. Playing as a right-corner defender, Baldev picked up 66 tackle points and was their top defender that season.
His rock-solid presence in defense, along with his ability to deliver match-winning tackles, made him a key figure in Bengal's PKL 7 triumph. After leaving Bengal, Baldev continued to perform well for other teams, such as Puneri Paltan and Gujarat Giants.
