By Rishab V M

The Telugu Titans have been a cornerstone of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) since its inception, known for their passionate fan base and electrifying style of play.

Despite never clinching the coveted PKL trophy, the Titans have consistently fielded some of the most talented players in the league, many of whom have become household names.

Rahul Chaudhari headlines all-time best playing 7 of Telugu Titans

From stellar raiders to rock-solid defenders, the Titans have had several standout performers who have left an indelible mark on both the team and the league.

The Titans have never made it to the final of any season. Their performance has been disappointing throughout the years. In the previous season, the Titans finished at the very bottom and will be desperate for a change in fortunes.

Telugu Titans All-Time Best Playing 7

Here's a look at the all-time best playing seven from the Telugu Titans, a team packed with iconic players who defined an era of kabaddi, headlined by Rahul Chaudhari:

Center - Rahul Chaudhari

The undisputed face of the Telugu Titans for six seasons, Rahul Chaudhari rose to prominence as one of the league's poster boys. Chaudhari was instrumental in the Titans' early success, joining the team in PKL Season 1 and consistently delivering impressive performances.

He finished in the top 5 raiders for the first three seasons, and in Season 4, he earned the prestigious Best Raider award after scoring 146 raid points.

Although Chaudhari's performances remained strong, accumulating 166 points in Season 6, the team management decided to part ways with him after that season. He remains one of the Titans' all-time greats, cementing his legacy with 876 raid points for the team.

Left Cover - Parvesh Bhainswal

Parvesh Bhainswal made an immediate impact when he joined the Titans in PKL 9. The left cover defender showcased his defensive prowess, finishing the season as the Titans' best defender with 56 tackle points in 23 matches.

His performance placed him ninth overall on the defender leaderboard that season, standing out in what was otherwise a difficult campaign for the team.

His consistency and leadership at the back made him one of the standout performers, and Bhainswal continues to be a key figure for the Titans as they strive to regain their dominance.

Right Cover - Rajaguru Subramanian

Rajaguru Subramanian was an important player for the Telugu Titans in their early seasons. Playing as the right cover defender, Subramanian's consistent displays earned him the captain's armband in a few matches during PKL's first two editions.

Over the course of those seasons, he accumulated 37 tackle points and maintained a tackle success rate of approximately 40%. Although the Titans did not retain him after Season 2, Subramanian's contribution to the team's early success is fondly remembered. After his departure, he went on to play for teams like Dabang Delhi KC and U Mumba.

Left In - Siddharth Desai

Siddharth Desai filled the void left by Rahul Chaudhari when he joined the Telugu Titans in Season 7. He quickly became the focal point of their offense, scoring a staggering 220 raid points in just 22 matches, averaging an impressive 10 points per game.

His explosive performances made him a fan favorite and earned him a place as the Titans' lead raider for subsequent seasons.

Despite struggling with injuries, Desai managed to score 144 points in Season 9. However, with fitness issues hampering his consistency, the Titans decided not to retain him for Season 10.

Right In - Deepak Hooda

Deepak Hooda played a pivotal supporting role in the Titans' raiding department during the first two PKL seasons. As an all-rounder, Hooda complemented the likes of Rahul Chaudhari and Sukesh Hegde, helping to form a formidable raiding unit.

His contributions were significant, as he notched up 89 raid points in Season 1 and 96 points in Season 2. Hooda's defensive abilities also came to the fore in Season 2, where he recorded 36 tackle points, including three High 5s, proving to be a valuable asset on both ends of the mat.

Left Corner - Vishal Bhardwaj

Vishal Bhardwaj is widely regarded as one of the most successful defenders to have donned the Titans' jersey. After making his debut in Season 4, where he earned seven points, Bhardwaj truly hit his stride in Season 5, scoring a remarkable 71 tackle points.

Across the next two seasons, he continued his fine form, tallying 123 points. Bhardwaj's tenacity and leadership on the left corner were vital to the Titans' defense. He returned to the Titans in Season 9, adding another 45 points to his impressive tally. Despite his stellar performances, the team released him before PKL 10.

Right Corner - Abozar Mighani

Iranian defender Abozar Mighani forged an incredible partnership with Vishal Bhardwaj during Seasons 6 and 7. Together, they formed one of the most dangerous corner combinations in the league.

Mighani collected 96 tackle points during his time with the Titans, earning five High 5s and solidifying his reputation as a fearsome defender.

Although the Titans did not retain Mighani for Season 8, his influence during his stint with the franchise was undeniable. Following his departure, Mighani had brief spells with Bengal Warriors and UP Yoddha, though he couldn't replicate the same success.
