Fazel Atrachali, the Iranian kabaddi sensation, holds the record for the most wins as a captain in PKL history with 70 victories. Known as one of the finest defenders in the league, Atrachali's leadership qualities have earned him a formidable reputation.

With an incredible 486 tackle points to his name, Fazel made his PKL debut in Season 2 and has since gone on to captain teams such as U Mumba, Puneri Paltan, and Gujarat Giants.

Atrachali cemented his place as the most successful captain after leading Gujarat Giants to the playoffs in the last season, surpassing all other PKL captains with 70 wins.

His ability to rally his team and maintain composure in crucial moments has been pivotal to his success. Ahead of PKL Season 11, Fazel has been signed by the Bengal Warriorz for a substantial sum of Rs. 50 lakh.

2. Sunil Kumar - 65 Wins

Sunil Kumar, a right corner defender with an eye for the game's tactical nuances, is another name that has made its mark in PKL history. With 65 wins as a captain, Sunil has demonstrated his ability to lead by example, guiding his former team, Jaipur Pink Panthers, to the PKL title in Season 9.

Sunil's consistency on the mat was a key factor in Jaipur's success, amassing 82 tackle points in their title-winning season.A respected leader, Sunil was one of the most sought-after players in the PKL Season 11 auctions, with U Mumba splashing Rs. 1.015 crore to secure his services.

His leadership credentials and strong defensive capabilities make him a valuable asset for U Mumba, who may look to him as captain after their previous skipper, Surinder Singh, was not retained. Sunil's calm demeanor and tactical brilliance could lead U Mumba to new heights as they head into the next season.

3. Anup Kumar - 52 Wins

Anup Kumar is a legendary name in Indian kabaddi, having led the national team to glory and U Mumba to their first-ever PKL title in Season 2. A legendary raider as well, Anup earned a reputation for his cool-headed leadership and sharp tactical insights.

With 52 wins under his belt as a captain, he ranks third on the list of most successful PKL captains. Anup Kumar's journey as a captain began with a bang, as he led U Mumba to the finals in the inaugural season and followed it up with a title victory in Season 2.

His performances earned him the Most Valuable Player award in Season 1, and he continued his form in Season 3, taking U Mumba to a third consecutive final. Despite his leadership success, Anup's performances began to dip from Season 4 onwards.

After two poor seasons, he moved to Jaipur Pink Panthers, where he took up the captaincy once again but could not gain much success. He retired midway through Season 6, leaving behind a legacy as one of PKL's greatest leaders.
