The Senior National Kabaddi Championship 2025 witnessed another action-packed day on Day 2 of the tournament on February 21, with top teams asserting their dominance across different pools.
Services, spearheaded by Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) star Naveen Kumar, delivered the most emphatic performance of the day, dismantling Chhattisgarh 70-33. The commanding win, backed by the all-round brilliance of their raiders and defenders, marked the highest team score of the tournament so far.

Defending champions Haryana, led by Ashu Malik, continued their strong run in Pool A, securing a 39-19 victory over Delhi. Meanwhile, Railways, a perennial title contender, maintained their winning momentum by defeating Bihar 45-27. Maharashtra also added another win to their tally, overcoming Himachal Pradesh 37-24.
Elsewhere, the battle for qualification intensified as Goa edged past Jammu & Kashmir 38-35 in a nail-biting contest. Rajasthan showcased their dominance with a 61-43 triumph over Jharkhand, while Karnataka cruised to a 46-26 victory against Uttarakhand. Punjab outplayed Bengal 49-24, and Uttar Pradesh comfortably defeated Assam 35-19. Tamil Nadu also put in a solid performance, beating Pondicherry 47-35.
One of the most thrilling encounters of the day came in Pool D, where Andhra Pradesh staged a stunning comeback to edge past Gujarat 40-39. The hard-fought win has given Andhra Pradesh a strong chance of advancing to the knockout stages.
With the Senior National Kabaddi Championship 2025 progressing, the qualification picture across the pools is beginning to take shape. Teams like Services, Haryana, Karnataka, and Punjab have emerged as strong contenders for the knockout rounds, with just one more round of pool-stage matches remaining before the pre-quarterfinals on February 22.
The 71st Senior National Men’s Kabaddi Championship, organised by the Odisha Kabaddi Association under the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI), features 30 teams battling for the prestigious title at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack, Odisha.
The tournament, running from February 20 to 23, has teams divided into eight pools, with the top two teams from each group set to progress to the next stage.
