Sonu Hails Fazel Atrachali as a Brotherly Mentor in Pro Kabaddi League Season 10

By MyKhel Team

In the recent face-off between Gujarat Giants and U Mumba, the match reached an intense climax tied at 36-36. Fazel Atrachali, the Giants' Captain, strategically directed raider Sonu to attempt the crucial raid.

The entire stadium echoed with chants of 'Sonu Sonu' as the 23-year-old, who had missed the eighth season due to an ankle injury and part of Season 9 due to a recurrence, confidently entered U Mumba's side.

In a remarkable display, he swiftly captured Rinku, Guman Singh, and Amirmohammad Zafardanesh, executing a Super Raid to secure victory for his team. Sonu's consistent ability to rise to the occasion has defined Gujarat Giants' season.

Sonu, reflecting on his injury-riddled journey, recounted breaking his ankle during a practice session before the eighth season, requiring a year for complete recovery. Despite experiencing ankle pain in Season 9, he persevered after brief rest.

Fully fit this season, Sonu values his partnership with the legendary Fazel Atrachali, describing him as a mentor who encourages players to play freely and assures them he'll step up if plans go awry.

Born in Panipat, Haryana, where kabaddi holds immense significance, Sonu traces his kabaddi roots to his elder brother's influence.

Starting in a local SAI camp, he progressed through district, national, and state levels, gaining confidence. Several players from his village have ventured into the Pro Kabaddi League, and Sonu's brother aspires to join.

Looking ahead to Saturday's matches, the Bengal Warriors seek to maintain their impressive form against Puneri Paltan. With Captain Maninder Singh leading, they aim to capitalize on home ground advantage.

Simultaneously, the Telugu Titans aim to secure a win against Dabang Delhi K.C., with Delhi's Captain Naveen Kumar in high spirits after a stellar 16-point performance against Haryana Steelers in the previous game.

The day promises exciting Kabaddi clashes with teams striving for dominance in the ongoing Pro Kabaddi League.
