The forthcoming Winter Edition of the Yuva Kabaddi Series 2023, in its seventh edition, is poised to showcase the talents of emerging Kabaddi players.
Scheduled from January 12 to February 7 at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Pondicherry, the tournament has become a pivotal platform for India's budding Kabaddi talents since its launch in 2022.

The inaugural match on Friday will witness a face-off between Chola Veerans and Palani Tuskers, setting the stage for a highly competitive environment. The Yuva Kabaddi Series has played a crucial role in shaping the future of Indian Kabaddi, evident in the participation of over 65 players currently showcasing their skills in the ongoing Pro Kabaddi League Season 10.
The CEO of Yuva Kabaddi Series, Mr. Vikas Gautam, emphasized the series' commitment to nurturing young talent and expanding the sport's reach across the country. Twelve teams, representing 12 different states, are expected to engage in high-intensity clashes during the winter edition.
The tournament focuses on the next generation of players, those below 80 kgs, offering them a platform to showcase their talents and groom themselves for the highest levels of Kabaddi. The series has witnessed the active participation of over 1400 youth players in 751 matches, guided by 85 coaches and overseen by 183 officials.
Beyond providing a career path in sports, the Yuva Kabaddi Series aims to develop a comprehensive skill set in players. This includes assistance in financial literacy, media training, and nutrition throughout their participation in the tournament.
The opening ceremony, set to be inaugurated by the Honourable LT. Governor UT of Puducherry & Governor Telangana, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, will be preceded by the grand finale of the 50th Jubilee Pondicherry State Kabaddi Championship 2024.
