In the lead-up to the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, she twisted her ankle during a long jump training session. Despite this setback, she continued to train and compete at a high level.
She has received numerous accolades throughout her career. In 2015, she was awarded the Disabled Junior Sportswoman Award at the Namibia Sports Commission Sports Awards. The same year, she received a Sporting Achievement Award from Disability Sports Namibia.
Her success continued with the Sportswoman of the Year with a Disability award at the Namibian Sports Awards in 2017, 2019, 2022, and 2023.
She is currently a member of NUST Welwitschia 77 Athletics Club in Namibia. Her national coach is Letu Hamhola, who has been instrumental in her development as an athlete.
Looking ahead, she aims to continue representing Namibia on the international stage. With her guide Sem Shimanda by her side, she is focused on achieving new milestones in Para athletics.
