In January 2022, she underwent surgery for a herniated disc after experiencing back pain for over a year. Despite these setbacks, she continued to train rigorously, dedicating 20 hours per week at the High Performance Centre in Madrid.
Her achievements have not gone unnoticed. In 2024, she received the Admiral Award for Para athlete of the year in Spain. She was also named Best Athlete at Stadium Casablanca in 2020 alongside triathlete Daniel Tolosa. In 2016, she received both the Bronze Medal of the Royal Order of Sports Merit and the Diploma of Sports Merit from Zaragoza.
Balancing sports with academics, she studied Physical Education and Sports Science at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. She further pursued master's degrees in high performance sport, sports management, and secondary education from various universities in Spain.
Beyond her athletic career, she began serving as a representative in the High Level Sports Evaluation Commission at the National Sports Council in Spain in September 2022. She also represents athletes for the Spanish Federation of Sports for the Blind.
