Bengaluru, August 7: Paris Saint-Germain have stunned the whole world this summer with their world record acquisition of Brazilian superstar Neymar who makes them much stronger as a side.

However, the French giants already boasted a strong side with a very deep squad and with Neymar on board now, they are now looking to offload some players who are surplus to requirements.

Brazilian fleet-footed attacking midfielder Lucas Moura joined the French capital club four years back and has never been able to truly establish himself as a regular starter at Parc des Princes.

Therefore, it is rumoured that the 24-year-old could be on the move in search of regular playing time which he is unlikely to get at PSG.

According to the French media, Premier League giants Arsenal are the front-runners to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura this summer.

The 2016/17 campaign proved a productive one for the Brazil international, as he racked up 19 goals and 6 assists across all competitions.

However, fans of the Paris-based club continued to ridicule Lucas despite his best efforts, as the world-record arrival of Neymar from Barcelona means a summer departure for the fleet-footed South American is now looking a near-certainty.

Arsenal started their season in the best possible way with a win against arch rivals Chelsea in the FA Community Shield, but Wenger is still looking for players who could add quality to his squad and has set his sights on Lucas. However, there is competition from AC Milan and Inter Milan for the Brazilian.

The Gunners are in the market for another attack-minded player this summer, with the contracts of star men Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil due to expire in less than 12 months.

The North London outfit have so far been frustrated in their attempts to coax Monaco winger Thomas Lemar to the Emirates, but now Arsene Wenger and co. are viewing Lucas as a quality backup option to the Frenchman.
