In a dazzling display of skill and resilience, 14-year-old Jai Singh Sabharwal from The Amateur Riders' Club (ARC) emerged victorious in the prestigious Equestrian Premier League (EPL), held in Bangalore on September 29th, 2024.

The young prodigy has been training at ARC for six years, receiving world-class coaching that has propelled him to success not only on national but international platforms.

Jai recently competed at the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) CSI2 -1-YH Show Jumping competition in Azelhof, Lier, Belgium, where he clinched two medals in the CSI1 category. His victory in Bangalore stands as another testament to his dedication, discipline, and talent.

Jai's performance in the 130 cm show-jumping class was nothing short of remarkable. Paired with his trusted horse, Carna, the teenager faced a major setback just minutes before the competition, suffering a fall while attempting a challenging 150 cm jump during the warm-up.

However, undeterred by this fall, Jai returned with determination, completing a double clear round in a time of just 39.16 seconds in the Jump Off - the fastest time of the day - earning him the coveted gold medal.

Final Results - EPL Show Jumping (130 cm Class)

  1. Jai Singh Sabharwal (Carna) - 39.16s (Jump Off)
  2. Saravanan Kandhansamy (Mewrick odl) - 80.10s
  3. Kiran Akhade (Geronimo) - 86.02s
  4. Nitin Gupta (Leonardo van holli) - 87.11s

Speaking after his victory, Jai expressed his excitement, saying, "I am elated to have won the 130 cm class amongst riders who are much senior by age and experience. Now I am eager to prepare and compete for the upcoming international and national shows in India this season along with my team."
