Sydney: Playing his third successive Olympics, former national champion Chetan Baboor has been placed in Group 'C' along with Czech republic's Petr Korbel and New Zealand's Peter Jackson for the preliminaries of the Olympic Games table tennis competition.

The Indian will start his campaign against Petr Korbel on September 17 at 6:30 am (IST). He will face Peter Jackson next day at 4:30 am (IST).

In the doubles, Chetan Baboor and national champion Raman Subramanium are clubbed with Holland's Danny Heister and Trinko Keen and Nigeria's Nosiru Kazeem and Segun Toriola in Group 'B'.

The Indian pair play their first match against the Dutch duo on Saturday at 3:30 pm (IST) and the Nigerians on September 18 at 2:30 pm (IST). In the women's section, Poulomi Ghatak is in pool 'L' along with France's Anne Boileau and Belarus's Veronka Pavlovich.

Poulomi meets Pavlovich on September 17 and Boileau next day at 10:30 am (IST).
