200 in fray for national "B" tourney, Mohota, Swati Ghate stars

Kozhikode, Jun 2 (UNI) Women Grand Masters Nisha Mohota of West Bengal) and Swati Ghate, and Bindu Sarita of LIC would be among 200 players, from various parts of the country participating in the 35th National Women 'B' Chess Championship beginning here on June 6.

WGM Isha Karvade (Mah), WGM Aarati Ramaswamy, IWM Sai Meera Ravi (both TN), Nimmi A George, E Sheena (both Kerala) would also be vying for honours in the nine-day event, according to a press release from Kerala Chess Association. The championship will be held under the aegis of All India Chess Federation (AICF).

The event offers a total prize money of Rs 85,000. Nine players from this championship would be eligible to participate in the National Women 'A' championship, the release added.
