3 Spectacular Fights Added To ONE Friday Fights 58

By Mike Joseph

ONE Championship has been flying high so far in 2024. And this past week, the world's largest martial arts promotion announced some massive fights for the highly anticipated ONE Friday Fights 58 card later this year.

The action will take place inside Bangkok, Thailand's "Mecca of Muay Thai" - Lumpinee Boxing Stadium - on Friday, 5 April. The headliner sees former ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon Singha Mawynn collide with Marat Grigorian in a pivotal rematch with the interim strap on the line.

Superbon vs Grigorian 2 set for ONE Friday Fights 58

The pair last met at ONE X in March 2022, where Superbon successfully defended his former crown across five rounds of elite level striking to earn the unanimous decision. But that wasn't the first time they met.

Their first clash took place in China in 2018, with Grigorian landing a picture perfect punch in just 29 seconds to put Superbon down for the count. So with the scores technically tied at one apiece, ONE Friday Fights 58's main event has all the makings of a grudge match.

Also on that night, strawweight Muay Thai king Prajanchai PK Saenchai will challenge ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Champion Jonathan Di Bella as the former looks to become the latest member of the two-sport ONE World Champion club.

Di Bella returned last October at ONE Fight Night 15, defending his crown for the first time against the always game Danial Williams. The Italian-Canadian put on a striking clinic to retain his gold, but his next challenger is one of the most decorated Thais the promotion has seen.

Prajanchai recently returned to the top of the ONE strawweight Muay Thai division after unifying the gold this past December at ONE Friday Fights 46. There, the Thai superstar made short work of Joseph Lasiri, knocking him out at 1:28 of the first round.

Prajanchai looked back to his absolute best in unifying the belts, and he plans to capitalize on that form by snatching the ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title from Di Bella in front of his Thai compatriots.

The most recent addition to the card has fireworks written all over it. Former ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Hama meets Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai in a scrap for the ages.

After eight years unbeaten, Nong-O recently dropped back-to-back outings. The first came at ONE Fight Night 9 in April 2023, where he lost his prestigious gold to now-reigning two-sport ONE World Champion Jonathan Haggerty.

Then, at ONE Friday Fights 46, Nong-O fell short to Scottish star Nico Carrillo in a barnburner for as long as it lasted. The legendary Thai chopped the legs of Carrillo but later fell victim to the youngster's ferocious power.

Now, he faces another thunderous slugger in Kulabdam with plans to get back on track. But for the one they call "Left Meteorite," it's a chance to solidify himself as a deadly name in the bantamweight Muay Thai division and extend his winning streak to four in a row.
