37 teams for Kozhikode League Tourney

Kozhikode, Nov 8 (UNI) As many as 37 teams from various parts of the district will participate in the District Cricket League tournament beginning here tomorrow.

Collector A Jayathilak would inaugurate the event sponsored by the Sankar Cement, Kozhikode District Cricket Association (KDCA) honorary secretary P Satish Chandran told reporters here today.

He said the KDCA would provide free cricket kit, cricket ball at half fare Rs 1000, among others, as aid to each team.

Announcing future plans, Jaythilak said the 8th inter school cricket tournament for C M Antony Memorial ever rolling trophy would be held in December.

The KDCA would also conduct coaching camp for Kerala Senior Women team in November 20Twenty All India Cricket Tournament for leading clubs and organisations in February 2009, he added.
