67th National School Games: Mumbai's Saanvi Deshwal's Record-Breaking Brilliance Secures Two Records, Four Golds

In a spectacular display of skill and determination, Mumbai's young swimmer, Saanvi Deshwal, emerged as a standout performer at the 67th National School Games held in Delhi by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI).

Representing the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) and her school, Bombay Scottish Mahim, Saanvi left an indelible mark on the competition, setting two SGFI National Records and clinching an impressive four gold medals.

Saanvi's all-around supremacy was evident as she started her medal haul with a breathtaking performance in the 200-meter Individual Medley, where she not only secured the gold medal but also set a new SGFI National Record with a remarkable timing of 2:29.81 seconds.

Shreenithi Natesan of CBSC claimed the silver medal with a timing of 2:33.57 seconds, while Naisha from CISCE took home the bronze with a timing of 2:33.77 seconds.

Undeterred by the initial success, Saanvi continued her outstanding performance by adding another feather to her cap on the final day of the meet.

In the fiercely competitive 50-meter Breaststroke event, Saanvi not only clinched her third individual gold but also set yet another SGFI National Record, clocking an impressive time of 35.50 seconds. This remarkable achievement showcased Saanvi's skill, determination, and ability to excel under pressure.

Saanvi's golden streak did not end there. She secured her fourth gold medal in the 100-meter Breaststroke event, further solidifying her dominance in the pool. Additionally, Saanvi played a crucial role in her team's success, contributing to the gold medal-winning performance in the 4x100 M Medley Relay.
