Sofia, (Bulgaria), Feb 8: The 75th Strandja Memorial Tournament has become a battleground for excellence and resilience as Indian boxers Nikhat Zareen and Arundhati Choudhary advance to the semifinals with commanding performances.
The event, one of Europe's oldest international sports competitions, is witnessing the participation of over 300 pugilists from 30 countries, showcasing the global appeal and competitive spirit of the sport.

Reigning World Champion Nikhat Zareen, competing in the 50kg category, faced a tough opponent in France's Lkhadiri Wassila. The match was a nail-biter from the start, with both boxers demonstrating their readiness and tactical acumen.

However, the Indian contingent has more representation with Jugnoo (86kg), Sagar (+92kg), and Naveen (92kg) scheduled for their respective matches later tonight. Additionally, seven Indian pugilists, including Amit Panghal (51kg) and Deepak (75kg), are gearing up for their quarter-final matches on Friday, promising more action and potential victories for India.
