Aditya, Ashutosh begin campaign in style in Gulbarga Open

Gulbarga, Oct 22 (UNI) Indian players Aditya Medkekar and Ashutosh Singh began their campaign with impressive wins over their compatriots in the first round of the 15,000 dollar Gulbarga Open ITF Men's circuit tennis tournament here today.

While Bellary Open semi-finalist and unseeded Ashutosh Singh tamed compatriot Yannick Nelord 6-2, 6-4, another unseeded Indian Aditya Medkekar defeated Arjun Gautham with a same margin in another encounter.

In the other matches sixth seed Alexey Kedryuk of Kazakhstan went past Vishnuvardhan of India 6-4, 6-1, qualifier Robert Belak of Serbia returned as the most impressive winner of the day blanking Kaushik Raju 6-0, 6-0 and unseeded Tushar Liberhan of India steam rolled another unseeded Ivan Anikanov of Ukraine 6-2, 6-2.
