After 4-0 lead, ticket sales gloomy

Guwahati, Nov 25 (UNI) Dhoni and his boys might have warmed the heart of the entire nation with an unassailable 4-0 lead against England and are on course for an unprecedented whitewash, but the prospect has made the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) nervous.

The ticket sales for the sixth ODI in the seven-match series began here today, but due to the lukewarm response to the opening day sales, the ACA is a bit nervous.

''Today only student tickets were sold. However, we are hopeful of a full house,'' ACA secretary Bikash Barua said.

Earlier, the sale of ODI tickets used to pose huge law and order problem for the cricket-crazy city and the local administration provides the biggest public ground for the ticket sale. This time the sale has started at the Judge's field but the serpentine queues are missing.

With more tickets to be sold tomorrow and the day after, the city is expected to be swept by cricket fever by Thursday when the teams would arrive.
