Paramus (New Jersey), Aug 27: In his first game after officially spliting up with this wife Elin Nordegren, Tiger Woods on Thursday, Aug 26 seemed to be finally back in shape.
Woods, who has been dealing with the exposure of his sexcapades, the media circus and the collapse of his marriage, reminded the world once again why he was still number one when he opened with a 6-under 65 at the Barclays.
"It's exciting to hit the ball flush again. It's something I've been missing all year," the golfing legend said.
To question if it was just a coincidence that his performance enhanced after his divorce, Woods, who did not miss much at the Ridgewood Country Club, said, "I can't really say that's the case. As far as golf, it was nice to put it together."
Earlier on Wednesday, Aug 25, Tiger Woods had admitted that his divorce and the public scrutiny over his multiple extra-marital affairs had affected his game ahead of the next leg of the FedEx Cup, the Barclays.
