AIBBA to promote baskeball at grassroot level

Moga, Mar 2 (UNI) The All India Basket Ball Association (AIBBA) plans to promote and develop basketball at grassroot level by engaging foreign coaches and sponsors on the pattern of cricket and hockey.

Punjab DGP Rajdeep Singh Gill, president of AIBBA, said here yesterday that the association had decided to hold All India School Basket Ball League championship.

The association had also decided to hold National Sub-Junior Basket Ball championship at Nawanshahr in Punjab from May 6 to 13, Youth championship at Lucknow from May 21 to 28 , National Junior Basketball championship at Anantpuram in Andhra Pradesh from June 12 to 19 and National Senior Basket Ball championship at Poducherry from December 21 to 28.

Mr Gill also informed that AIBBA have also decided to approach some big companies for the sponsorship of Basket Ball.
