New Delhi, Dec 20 (UNI) After Formula One's expected high profile entry into the country, Indian motorsport fans may get the opportunity to have a glimpse of A1GP race by 2009.

Indian Olympic Association had signed an agreement with Federation Internationale de Automobile (FIA) to bring F1 Grand Prix to India in 2009 winter or early 2010 with race track to be built either in Greater Noida or Sohana, near Gurgaon.

A1 Team India CEO Andaleeb Sehgal today said A1GP chief is visiting India in January-February next year to meet Rajasthan and Haryana government officials for A1GP race in the country.

''It has to be a street race and it could happen in early 2009.

A1GP officials have sought appointments with Rajasthan and Haryana government officials to seek permission,'' he said today at the felicitation of Narain Karthikeyan-led Team India which won fourth round race in Zhuhai (China).
