Air Force Summer Adventure Camp concludes at Kasauli

Chandigarh, Jun 11 (UNI) The fourth and final Air Force Summer Adventure Camp for the wards of air force personnel from all over the country concluded at Air Force Station Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh this weekend.

Master Akash Baral was declared the best camper and Master Ankush as the most popular camper of the fourth camp attended by a total of 40 boys from various Air Force units.

This summer, the Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) had organised four summer camps for the children of which two camps were exclusively for girls. These camps were named as Gilbert Camp-2008, after the Gilbert Hill at Kasauli.

During the week-long camp, emphasis was laid on inculcating team work and a sense of fraternity among the children. As a part of the camp, children were given exposure to various adventure activities such as rock climbing, range firing, trekking and tent pitching. The children also visited Bon-Monastery at Dolange and National Park at Kufri.

The camp also included a pleasure trip to Shimla and Chail.

Children were offered a unique opportunity for games at world's highest cricket ground at Chail during their visit to the military school.
