By MyKhel Staff

Malaysian-Thai striking sensation Aliff Sor Dechapan stopped the hype train of teenage phenom Ramadan Ondash and handed him his first promotional defeat via unanimous decision at ONE Fight Night 38 on 6 December, earning a ONE World Title shot in the process.

The 21-year-old from Sor Dechapan was methodical in his approach throughout all three rounds against the 19-year-old Lebanese striker. Aliff's disciplined performance showcased his elite skills and readiness against the previously unbeaten prospect.

During the post-fight interview, commentator Mitch Chilson announced that ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong confirmed Aliff will challenge reigning king Prajanchai PK Saenchai for the ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title in his next fight.

With the title shot now confirmed, Aliff sets his sights on dethroning the dominant Muay Thai champion in Prajanchai. The Malaysian-Thai contender expressed confidence about the official announcement and issued a direct challenge to the strawweight king.

"I am confident that my next fight will be a title shot. You know, they also announced it in the ring, so I'm very confident. Prajanchai, I hope you're ready for me. I am coming for your belt," Aliff said.

On Saturday, Aliff and Ondash went toe-to-toe in a clash of emerging talents, each displaying remarkable striking. But the third round proved decisive, as Aliff delivered a critical knockdown. Later, the judges awarded Aliff the unanimous decision, improving his record to 62-9.

Aliff acknowledged the danger Ondash posed even after scoring the knockdown. He understood his opponent's power and finishing ability would make him dangerous until the final bell.

"When I got the knockdown, I had to be really careful because I knew that Ramadan would get up and he would try to knock me out to get his win. So I played the game very carefully," Aliff said.
