AM Green IGPL Star Pukhraj Singh Gill Finishes Top-20 on Asian Development Tour, Stays on Course for Asian Tour

Taipei, July 11: India's Pukhraj Singh Gill continued his impressive run on the Asian Development Tour (ADT), producing three consistent rounds to secure a tied-19th finish at the Ever Glory ADT Open and strengthen his bid to earn promotion to the Asian Tour.

The Ludhiana golfer carded identical rounds of 3-under 69 across all three days to finish with a total of 9-under 204.

AM Green IGPL Star Pukhraj Singh Gill Finishes Top-20 on Asian Development Tour Stays on Course for Asian Tour

Gill, who won the AM Green IGPL Order of Merit in 2025, is currently focused on using the Asian Development Tour as a pathway to the Asian Tour.

His latest result keeps him sixth on the ADT Order of Merit, putting him firmly in contention to earn playing rights on the 2027 Asian Tour. The top 10 players on the Merit List at the end of the season will secure promotion to the higher tour.

Pukhraj Singh Gill Stays on Course for Asian Tour Promotion

Gill has been one of the standout performers to emerge from the AM Green Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL).

The Ludhiana golfer, who represents Honer Homes Gurugram in the IGPL, topped the tour's Order of Merit in 2025 and has since turned his attention towards establishing himself on the international circuit. His consistency was once again on display at the Ever Glory ADT Open.

Gill opened the tournament with a 3-under 69 and followed it with two more rounds of the same score to finish at 9-under. While he was unable to mount a challenge for the title, the tied-19th finish provided another important result in his pursuit of an Asian Tour card.

Gill currently occupies sixth place on the ADT Merit List, with the top 10 at the end of the season earning promotion to the Asian Tour. The pathway is a familiar one for Indian golfers.

Last year, Karandeep Kochhar, Gill's colleague on the AM Green IGPL, used the Asian Development Tour route to progress towards the higher level.

Khalin Joshi Best-Placed Indian at Ever Glory ADT Open

Khalin Joshi produced the best finish among the Indian golfers in the tournament. Joshi carded rounds of 68, 67 and 69 to finish at 12-under and secure a tied-12th position. Meanwhile, Kartik Singh missed the 36-hole cut after rounds of 74 and 68.

While Gill finished seven shots behind the winning score, his position on the ADT Merit List remains the bigger picture as he looks to secure a place on the 2027 Asian Tour.

Nathan Han Wins Typhoon-Shortened Ever Glory ADT Open

American Nathan Han emerged victorious at the Ever Glory ADT Open after the tournament was reduced to 54 holes because of the threat posed by Typhoon Bavi.

Han defeated the Philippines' Sean Ramos on the first playoff hole after the pair and Korea's Minhyeok Yang finished tied at 16-under. The American fired a brilliant 7-under 65 in Friday's third and final round at Dong Hua Elite Golf Club.

Tournament officials subsequently announced that the championship would conclude after 54 holes, with forecasts indicating that Typhoon Bavi would affect the venue from Friday evening and throughout Saturday.

The conditions made it impossible for organisers to guarantee the completion of the scheduled final round.

A playoff was therefore held immediately after the completion of regulation play to determine the champion. Han secured victory with a birdie on the first extra hole.

Nathan Han Caps Consistent Week With Playoff Victory

Han's victory completed an impressive week in Taipei. After opening rounds of 67 and 68, the American produced one of the best performances of the final day with his 7-under 65.

His round featured an eagle on the par-5 eighth hole and five birdies. Han then held his nerve in the playoff to secure the title. The American also credited his father, who was on his bag throughout the tournament, for his support during the week.

Minhyeok Yang, Sean Ramos Miss Out in Three-Way Playoff

Minhyeok Yang matched Han's final-round 65 to force his way into the playoff. The Korean produced a spectacular round featuring nine birdies, but a costly double bogey on the 15th prevented him from taking the outright lead.

Ramos, meanwhile, began the final round one shot behind overnight leader Huang Yi-tseng. The Filipino golfer carded a composed 5-under 67 to join Han and Yang at 16-under.

Ramos recovered from an early bogey on the second hole with birdies on the third, 11th, 13th, 15th and 16th to earn his place in the playoff before eventually finishing runner-up.

Chinese Taipei golfers Shapiyate Mako and Chan Shih-chang shared fourth place at 15-under following final rounds of 66 and 68 respectively.

Pukhraj Singh Gill's Asian Tour Dream Remains on Track

For Gill, the tied-19th finish represents another step towards his bigger goal of earning promotion to the Asian Tour. The 2025 AM Green IGPL Order of Merit winner has successfully carried his domestic form onto the Asian Development Tour and now finds himself sixth in the race for the 10 available Asian Tour cards.

With plenty of golf still to be played this season, maintaining his consistency will be crucial. Three successive rounds of 69 in Taipei may not have produced a title challenge, but they ensured Gill remained firmly on course towards achieving his primary objective.

A year after establishing himself as one of the leading players on the AM Green IGPL, the Ludhiana golfer is now within touching distance of taking the next major step in his professional career.
