Ananyaa Sood Joins Lead In Mysuru As Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour 7th Leg Action Heats Up

A three-way tie developed after two rounds of the seventh leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour. Amateur Ananyaa Sood joined Anvitha Narender and Riya Jadon at the top. All three stood at even-par 140 after 36 holes. The Rs.17 lakh event is being played at Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club.

Ananyaa returned 1-under 69 on the par-70 layout. The 15-year-old made five birdies, two bogeys, and one double bogey. Anvitha produced the day’s best round, a 2-under 68. That card featured a 3-under 31 on the front nine. Riya posted 73 with three bogeys.

The cut line for the tournament fell at 152, leaving 30 players for Saturday’s final round. Sneha Singh, a past Hero Order of Merit winner, missed out. Heena Kang also failed to progress. Ridhima Dilawari withdrew during round two for medical reasons. Dilawari had won three of the last six events.

The final group for round three pairs the three joint leaders together. The closing day is set up as a direct contest for the title. The leaders are among the youngest in the field. Each has experience at high level events despite age. Their tee time is scheduled for 9:05 am.

Four players shared fourth place at 2-over 142 after two rounds. Durga Nittur shot 71, while Amandeep Drall returned 72. Vidhatri Urs and Anvvi Dahhiya each signed for 73. Tvesa Malik slid to tied-eighth after 75. That round included a quadruple bogey on the par-4 17th.

Tvesa was tied-eighth alongside Karishma Govind, who shot 73. Both stood at 3-over 143. Khushi Khanijau added 72 to move into the top 10. Ananya Garg shot 73 and joined Khanijau at 4-over 144. Mannat Brar posted 69 and reached tied-12th at 5-over 145.

Mannat was one of three players under par on the day. The other two were co-leaders Ananyaa and Anvitha. Vani Kapoor shot 73 and shared tied-12th at 145. Rhea Purvi carded 71 and also matched 145. The spread left several players within reach if conditions shift.

Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour leaders’ background notes

Ananyaa is based in Dubai and has trained under former Indian pro Sujjan Singh. Ananyaa has played earlier events on the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour. Ananyaa also recorded strong junior results in Dubai and elsewhere. Ananyaa won the US Kids European Championship in 2024. Training included time at the Claude Harmon III centre.

Anvitha was born in the US and is now based in Bengaluru. Anvitha won on the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour in 2024. Anvitha also built a strong amateur record before turning pro. At 20, Anvitha won a title in only a second pro start. That win came at Bangalore Golf Club in Bengaluru.

Riya, 17, turned professional at the start of 2026. Riya has already secured a podium finish this season. Riya won key titles on the Indian Golf Union circuit. Riya represented India at the Under-16 R&A Girls Championship in 2016. Riya also won the DGC Ladies title at age 13.

After 36 holes in Mysuru, the seventh leg remained finely balanced at the top. Ananyaa, Anvitha and Riya began the last round level at 140. Behind them, four players sat two shots back on 142. With 30 players making the cut at 152, the final round offered a clear, direct finish.
