Anaka Alankamony, Ravi Dixit win Penang Junior Open titles

Chennai, June 11 (UNI) Anaka Alankamony (Girls U-13) and Ravi Dixit (Boys U-17) emerged victorious at the Penang International Junior Squash Championships held from June 6-10.

Anaka was the only Indian making it a double by winning the Penang event after her victory at the Malaysian Junior Open (May 31-June 4).

Anaka defeated compatriot Saumya Karki 9-1, 1-9, 9-5, 10-9 in the final while Ravi beat Ng Jo Wen 9-7, 9-2, 8-10, 10-8.

This is Ravi's first international title in the boys U-17 category adding to his victory at the Scottish Junior in December 2006 in the boys U-15 category.

In the semi-final, Ravi had defeated South African Stephano Gras 9-4, 9-6, 9-0, a Squash Rackets Federation of India release said.
