Anand draws again in Chorus Chess
Wijk Aan Zee, Holland, Jan 16 (UNI) Viswanathan Anand tried but found Magnus Carlsen's defence impregnable as the Indian and Norwegian Grand Masters settled for a quick draw in the fourth round of Corus Chess Tournament here today.
Playing with black pieces, Anand gave his rival some anxious moments but Carlsen fortified and both agreed to split points after 18 moves. This was Anand's third draw in four matches and the Indian chess wizard now has two and a half points with his solitary win coming against Russian GM, Alexander Motylev in round two.
Anand drew against Armenian Grandmaster Levon Aronian yesterday.
