Anand Powar enters second round of Austrian International

Bangalore, Feb 21 (UNI) Anand Pawar, a trainee at TATA Padukone Badminton Academy who missed selection into the Thomas Cup Badminton Team, staged an upset win over Swedish No 1 Magnus Sahlberg in the Austrian International Championships 2008 at Vienna. Anand beat the Swede in straight games 21-14, 21-13, according to a report from the Academy here today.

He will play local favourite and No 1 Austrian Juergen Koch in the second round match later tonight.
