Ancelotti dashes to Italy to visit 'grievously' ill father

London, Oct 23(ANI): Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has flown back to his hometown Reggiolo, Italy to visit his seriously ill father.

Ancelotti found out about his father Giuseppe's illness after Chelsea's Champions League game against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, following which he made immediate plans to return home.

"Carlo is looking after his father. Giuseppe is not very well at all," The Sun quoted an Italian source, as saying.

For the moment, it is not sure whether Ancelotti will be back for Saturday's Premier League game against Birmingham at Stamford Bridge. (ANI)
