Andaman Karate team bags medals

Port Blair, Aug 09 (UNI) The Andaman Karate team has bagged two medals in the 9th National Kobudo Championship held in Chennai on August 5.

The team's chief instructor told UNI here today that Dinesh Lall won gold medal in the 60 kg category while Rahamat Ali won the silver in the 55 kg category.

Both the winners were representatives of Shorin Ryu Kyukai Shinbukan Karate Do Association.

Meanwhile, chief instructor Anand was awarded Black Belt Second Dan from South Chief Instructor of Kobudo, A.S.Krishnamoorthy, in Chennai.

Altogether 300 participants from 12 states participated in the tournament.

UNI
