Anderson called up to England squad

LONDON, May 16 (Reuters) Lancashire pace bowler James Anderson has been called up to the England squad for tomorrow's first test against West Indies at Lord's.

Anderson will cover for all-rounder Andrew Flintoff who has injured his left ankle. Flintoff did not bowl in the nets on Tuesday but was scheduled to test the ankle today before a final decision is taken on his fitness.

A statement from the England and Wales Cricket Board today said Anderson would join the squad later in the day.
