Across her legendary career, Anissa "C18" Meksen has conquered almost everything that the striking world has to offer, and now she is preparing for the biggest fight of her storied career.
She's going to shoot her shot at the inaugural ONE Women's Strawweight Kickboxing World Title against Filipino-American star Jackie Buntan on 9 November at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug.

The seven-time Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion will make history if she beats her in-form opponent at Bangkok, Thailand's iconic Lumpinee Stadium. And Anissa Meksen is thrilled to get another chance to compete for the most coveted prize in all of martial arts.
"It's the inaugural belt. It's history. It really will be amazing to get this title. It's my dream. It's my goal. It's everything to me. If I take the belt, it will be the best moment of my career for sure," Meksen said.
"I really want to take this belt. For sure, I will win. I'm in the best shape, and I'm ready to fight. It's my time."
"C18" is considered one of the greatest women's pound-for-pound strikers and has scored three consecutive victories in ONE Championship. Last December, the Algerian-French superstar lost the ONE Interim Women's Atomweight Kickboxing World Title match against Thai Phenom "The Queen" Phetjeeja at ONE Friday Fights 46.
The 36-year-old striking superstar has since moved to strawweight, and she feels that this will help achieve her goal. The Parisian acknowledges that her opponent, Buntan, who holds a 6-1 record in ONE, is a skilled striker. And for that, she has been putting a lot of hours into training.
"It's my natural weight, so I haven't had to care about weight or my diet or anything like that. I've just stayed focused on my training. I'm in my best shape now. I've trained hard, and everything is perfect," Meksen said.
"She is complete, and she has good boxing. My camp is the same every time, but of course, I adapt my style against my opponent. I have faced a lot of strong opponents. For me, it's not new."
