Anna, Kannur Universities enter semifinals

Kannur, Nov 21 (UNI) Anna University, Chennai, and Kannur University entered the semifinals in the All India Inter University Volleyball Championship for Women, here today.

Kurukshethra University, Haryana, beat Punjab University, Pattiala 3-1 (25-19, 25-22, 16-25, 26-24) while Kannur University beat Anna University in straight sets 3-0 (25-17, 25-9, 25-23).

Anna University would meet Kurukshethra in the semifinals tomorrow.

The next two team would be decided in the matches between SRM University, Chennai, and Madras University and Punjab University and Kolkotta University late tonight. The SRM and Madras won two matches in the league.
