Annual athletic meet at National Police Academy concludes

Hyderabad, Sep 19 (UNI) Lt Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore today presented awards to the winners of the 50th annual athletic meet at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in the city.

Around 95 probationers of the 2007 batch of the Indian Police Service displayed their skills in various track and field events during the meet, which began on September 16.

Pratibha Ambedkar of Uttar Pradesh cadre was declared the best female athlete of the meet, while Seju P Kuruvilla, belonging to Bihar cadre, was adjudged the best male athlete.

Earlier, interacting with the IPS trainee officers, Mr Rathore stressed on the importance of positive attitude.

He said in-depth knowledge of task at hand was very essential for achievement of big dreams, a release here said.
